Estuary Sampling Station

The purpose of changing the configuration of CM1 from a bottom fixed to a floating station was to more directly sample the water quality of stream inputs to the Morro Bay Estuary.  The floating configuration of CM1 needed to hold water quality instrumentation that sampled for salinity, temperature, depth, dissolved oxygen concentration, turbidity, chlorophyll a concentration, nitrate concentration, and currents every 15 minutes.  The floating configuration also allowed for increased accessibility for maintenance of the station via small boat.
